Long-standing Democratic Labour Party member and candidate, attorney-at-law Michael Lashley, will not be contesting the next general election on that party’s ticket.
CBC understands that Lashley was replaced by fellow attorney-at-law Simon Clarke has been given the nod for the St. Philip North constituency, which Lashley once represented.
Lashley served in the DLP administration from 2003 to 2018, before losing to the Barbados Labour Party’s sitting Member of Parliament, Dr. Sonia Browne.
When contacted, DLP President Senator Andre Worrell said he had no comment to make on the matter.
