Climate change is a daily reality and a national priority for Barbados.
That’s according to Deputy Chief Agricultural Officer, Barney Callender, who made the observation while addressing the Eighth Annual Barbados Food Law and Industry Conference at the Courtyard Marriott Resort today.
Deputising for Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security, Indar Weir, Mr. Callender told attendees that climate change is not a distant threat but a present-day challenge.
