Chief Medical Officer Dr. the Most Honourable Kenneth George has confirmed reports of environmental issues at the Winston Scott Polyclinic amid reports of a sick out at the health care facility.
He confirmed they have received reports of the ongoing issues.
And he says health officials must be able to provide a care package that is consistent and not interruptive, but admits sometimes some of the issues are out of their control.
Meanwhile, health officials are confident the Brandford Taitt Polyclinic will reopen on Thursday.
The Black Rock, St. Michael clinic was closed last Thursday following environmental issues.
Dr. George says a number of the primary care plants are very old, and from time to time will have environmental issues, whether it is mould, odours or people falling ill.
He says as a responsible Ministry, plants must be safe for the staff who work there, and they are set to meet with staff on Wednesday.
