Barbados Ambassador to CARICOM David Comissiong, says the regional bloc must keep focused on Haiti as the ongoing political situation is one it has to solve.
He says it was agreed following the recently held Canada-CARICOM Summit to establish a national unity administration.
Caribbean diplomats at the United Nations have also been highlighting the plight of Haiti and work continues by the CARICOM Eminent Persons Group on a solution.
According to Mr. Comissiong, efforts continue to get the current de-facto Prime Minister to make the necessary concessions.
Mr. Commissiong was a guest on the Conversations on CARICOM segment of CBC TV8s, Mornin’ Barbados.
