Commercial banks appear unwilling to help grow the medicinal cannabis industry.
Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Medicinal Cannabis Licensing Authority (BMCLA) Shanika Roberts-Odle, says lending institutions are refusing to engage with the industry.
She highlighted the issue while addressing the media at the official launch and tour of Island Naturals Medical Centre and Pharmacy, a new medicinal facility located in Sheraton Mall, Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church.
However, Roberts says the authority has settled several agreements with MMoney to help push the financial aspect of the industry.
