The Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) says changes are required in what the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Wayne Wesley, says is the eco-system of education, to improve on Mathematics and English passes.
He believes an appropriate balance with all players is needed as one entity alone cannot address it. Dr. Wesley therefore sees a role for universities, as well as parents.
His comments came during an interaction with regional media following the release of the preliminary results for the May-June 2024 CXC Examinations.
