An attack on a nurse who was on her way to work at the district hospital in St. Philip prompted a swift response from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
Acting Permanent Secretary Wayne Webster, while condemning the attack, told CBC News that counselling has been made available for all affected staff at the institution.
It was on Friday night that the nurse encountered an assailant just outside her workplace and suffered what CBC understands to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Mr Webster also says new transportation arrangements have been made to make the journey to work safer for staff.
