Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security Indar Weir wants to see local stakeholders in agriculture supplying cruise lines with their products.
According to him, cruise lines are currently in talks with local poultry producers to procure table eggs and chicken products.
Mr. Weir adds that in addition to bulk, the agriculture sector can also provide cruise ships with value-added products that would be produced through collaboration with Export Barbados’ Food Science Centre.
