CTU urges region to be active innovators and contributors

Barbados and the region have been told states cannot be mere onlookers as technology advances.

The Caribbean Telecommunications Union wants them to be active innovators and contributors.

CTU President and Minister of Digital Transformation in Trinidad and Tobago, Senator Hassel Bacchus challenged countries to leverage digital technology to improve the lives of citizens.

He was at the time addressing the opening of CTU ICT Week 2024 in St. Kitts and Nevis.

ICT week is focused on the theme “Bridging Technologies for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future.”

Senator Bacchus says it’s timely and significant.
