Barbados has committed to protecting 30% of its exclusive economic zone and territorial sea as part of the Marine Spatial Plan.
US$50 million has been allocated to the Barbados Environmental Sustainability Fund.
This through the completion of a US$150 million debt conversion in September 2022, which allows the plan to take effect.
