‘Effects of childhood obesity go beyond health’

A warning to Barbadians about the potential negative impact of childhood obesity on the nation’s future productivity.

This from Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Wellness Davidson Ishmael, who says the effects of childhood obesity go beyond health.

He was speaking at the opening of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Barbados Vendor Training Session on the updated Nutrition Policy.

Mr. Ishmael has urged the public to take nutrition and exercise seriously to help combat the issue.
