During the opening ceremony of the 48th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM, outgoing Chairman, Grenada’s Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell highlighted the effects of climate change on the region.
Referencing Hurricane Beryl, the most recent system to hit Grenada and devastate other regional countries, Prime Minister Mitchell called for partnership in combatting climate change.
He also focused on Haiti and proffered CARICOM’s continued support for the country.
Prime Minister Mitchell says a large part of what is happening in Haiti is not the doing of the Haitian people.
