Efforts continue to clean up residue from oil spill

Majority of the spilled crude oil at Oistins has been recovered, but efforts continue to clean up the residue.

The Barbados National Energy Company Limited’s Group Health and Safety Manager, Damien Catlyn, says a team from the Drainage Division is now assisting with the clean-up process.

Meanwhile, Catlyn is again reassuring Barbadians that the majority of the oil discovered leaking near the BNECL facility in Oistins early last Friday morning has been recovered.
