It’s being touted as a major breakthrough in efforts to get road tennis into schools in Canada.
CEO of Gauntlet Road Tennis Ron Kellman has confirmed they received the green light from the York Regional School Board last month, to have road tennis as part of their curriculum.
Stakeholders will shortly begin building out capacity, as road tennis seeks to gain a foothold in the third largest school district in Ontario, with over 121 thousand students in 171 elementary schools and 31 secondary schools.
From an equipment standpoint, Kellman says that is already a work in progress and for the work being done, Kellman is also in line for an award next month.
