Eight people have been affected after the island recorded its eighth fire for the year.
An afternoon blaze left one house destroyed, and a shop and a bar in 9th Avenue New Orleans affected.
Two fire tenders, one from the Bridgetown Port and the other from the Bridgetown Fire Station responded to the blaze.
There were nine fire officers under the Command of Divisional Officer Marlon Small and Station Officer Angella Riverre.
Member of Parliament for the City Corey Lane says neighbours sprang into action, and gave kudos to the fire officers for their quick response.
And Divisional Officer Small urges all to invest in ensuring they safeguard their houses against fires, as he notes the number of fires for the year is concerning.
