A local charity wants employers across the country to take some simple steps to ensure their organisation is spotting signs of domestic abuse and helping their staff find the right support.
Advocates Against Domestic Violence, which was established in 2018, says experiences may be exhibited in different ways.
Chairperson, Barbara Daniel-Goddard says most persons, regardless of public or private sector, will be hesitant to let people know they are experiencing domestic abuse at home.
Ms Daniel-Goddard was a Guest on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
Meanwhile, Vice Chair, Caroline Bennet-Jarvis says it’s important survivors of domestic abuse make that connection as she highlighted her story and action taken by her workplace.
