Empowering youth with literature

Literature and reading have been identified as essential tools in the empowerment of Barbadian youth, and one local author has donated her literary works to inspire the students of the Springer Memorial School.

She’s Kimisha King, author of “Journey to 30 ” and founder of the “Live Your Best Life” programme.

She made these remarks while presenting her alma mater with 80 copies of her book.

The donation was facilitated in partnership with the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust.

While expressing gratitude for the donation, Principal of the Springer Memorial School Mitchelle Maxwell says the books will go a long way towards inspiring the students to make a positive impact in their communities.
