The Ministry of Educational Transformation has taken the decision to allow Ellerton Primary and Princess Margaret Secondary to remain closed to allow for respective environmental concerns pertaining to evidence of rodent activity to be adequately addressed.
During final preparations to reopen for the Trinity term, breaches were discovered that required some structural attention and the requisite cleaning to take place. It was therefore decided that these works should be allowed to be completed without interruption before welcoming staff and students back to the school environs.
The Ministry remains in communication with the respective service providers and principals who will update staff, students and parents on the status of their respective schools. The Ministry thanks everyone for their patience and understanding in this matter as we place the highest priority on the health and safety of staff and students. (PR)
