General practitioner with Island Naturals Medical Centre and Pharmacy, Dr Sheena Weekes, wants to see more availability of medicinal marijuana products locally.
Dr Weekes says while medicinal marijuana products are not first-line treatments for many illnesses, it is good to have additional products available to the Barbadian population.
She was speaking during the official launch and tour of Island Naturals, a new medicinal facility located in Sheraton Mall, Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church.
Dr Weekes says the full-service medical facility also offers pharmaceuticals and therapies with two doctors and a psychologist on-site.
