The otherwise quiet community of Rock Hall, St. Philip was shattered on Friday night when 17-year-old Dashawn Hinkson was gunned down a stone’s throw away from his grandmother’s home.
His death, homicide number 18 for the year, has sent shockwaves through his family and the community.
