A small farmer in St Andrew is counting thousands in losses after heavy rainfall on Sunday destroyed his crops.
Farmer Desmond Ward, who is also the Parish’s District Emergency Organisation’s Road Clearance Officer, said Monday he has yet to evaluate the destruction thoroughly, but he knows the ground has been severely impacted.
Mr Ward spoke to CBC News at Bawden, where the river overflowed and the Bridge was impassable, also due to the heavy showers.
Our Anesta Henry has that story.
