A leading fire officer in the Barbados Fire Service remains concerned about the increase in grass fires.
Station Officer at the Bridgetown Fire Station, Roger Bourne, says a number of people are experiencing issues with cow itch and are using fire as a means of eradicating the problem.
However, he notes that this is dangerous and is urging people not to take matters into their own hands.
