Fishing in Barbados is not dying, that’s the word from the president of the Pile Bay Fisherfolk Organisation, Katrina Chapman.
Speaking at a fun day, she said some youngsters in the community are training to build boats and become fishermen.
Ms Chapman also addressed the issue of local fishermen using fishing boat templates or boats from Canada, stressing that it is the fishermen’s preference.
