With the advent of Artificial Intelligence, a Government Minister wants action taken to protect the intellectual property rights of Barbadians.
Minister in the office of the Prime Minister with Responsibility for Culture, Senator Dr Shantal Munro-Knight, suggested a framework be created in this regard.
The recommendation was put forward as she engaged in an AI Symposium on Caribbean Arts and Heritage at the Barbados Museum and Historical Society.
Senator Munro-Knight added that Barbados is mindful that AI is constantly evolving and the country must adapt.
