Barbados is the third-ranked captive insurance jurisdiction in the Caribbean and among the top ten in the world.
The revelation came from Chairman of the Financial Services Commission (FSC), Oliver Jordan, as he addressed the fifth Barbados Risk and Insurance Management Conference at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle Resort on Thursday.
He adds, however, that Barbados needs to transition to speed, efficiency, and excellence in the global financial sector.
The conference goes into its final day today.
