The Government has approved the lease of two acres of land at the Coverley Great House in Christ Church to the Barbados Association of Cancer Advocacy, to facilitate the erection of a hospice and palliative care facility for the terminally ill.
This parcel of land measures 7,922 square metres over two lots, and will house 14 people.
This was disclosed by Minister of Housing, Lands and Maintenance, Dwight Sutherland, as he led off debate in the Lower House.
He has called on the private sector to join with them in building out palliative care facilities.
