The Prime Minister’s Office has issued a statement denouncing a video circulating on YouTube titled “What Barbados Just Did to Trump Will Leave Americans in Shock – 2025 Update”, uploaded by the channel FunJourney on June 15, 2025.
It notes in the statement that the video contains information that is entirely false, misleading, and wholly fictitious.

The Prime Minister’s Office wishes to inform the public that a video circulating on YouTube titled “What Barbados Just Did to Trump Will Leave Americans in Shock – 2025 Update” and uploaded by the channel FunJourney on June 15, 2025, contains information that is entirely false, misleading, and wholly fictitious.
We categorically state that:
● No such statements were ever made by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley.
● No official resolution banning President Trump has been issued by the Government of Barbados.
● No diplomatic consultations have been suspended.
● There has been no formal or informal policy shift toward the creation of a so-called “national security watch list” based on personal political opinions or commentary.
This video must be considered a deliberate act of misinformation, designed to sow confusion, misrepresent Barbados’ foreign policy, and sensationalise fabricated events for online engagement.
We urge the public, locally, regionally and internationally, to remain vigilant in the face of such malicious content, and to avoid sharing or engaging with posts that have not been verified by reputable or official sources.
We ask all citizens, residents, and friends of Barbados to be cautious of sensational content shared online.
If in doubt, cross-check any major announcements with the official channels of the Government of Barbados or trusted media sources.
And when there is a fake or AI-generated content meant to cause harm, report that content to the relevant platforms to help limit its reach.
