The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Third Sector is working to close the adult literacy gap.
Word of this from Minister Colin Jordan.
He says low adult literacy remains a matter of concern and presents a barrier to people’s access to further education, training and personal advancement.
Mr Jordan outlined how his ministry is tackling the issue during debate on the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure 2026–2027 today.
