Residents of St. Lucy and some parts of neighbouring St. Peter impacted by brown water woes are one step closer to being compensated by Government.
Money has been approved by the Lower House to facilitate ex gratia payments.
The funds will come from the 55 million, 742 thousand, 814 dollars ($55,742,814) being provided to the Office of the Prime Minister from the Consolidated Fund.
Minister in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, Ryan Straughn, says money will also go towards accelerating the mains replacement programme in the area, along with the Division of Culture.
