There is great interest in the new mental health legislation.
That’s according to Deputy Chairman of the National Mental Health Committee Dr. Joy Sue.
She says the new legislative notes they have shared have truly whetted the public’s appetite.
Dr. Sue was speaking on the topic during today’s edition of Mornin’ Barbados.
And according to National Mental Health Commission Coordinator Kaye Belgrave, they have created a new mental health directory.
This, she says, will go a long way in reducing stigmas associated with mental health.
And Ms. Belgrave stresses that the hotline has received in excess of eight thousand calls since its implementation in April 2024.
