A High Wind Advisory issued for Barbados remains in effect.
The Barbados Meteorological Services says early this morning, wind speeds increased across the island during moderate shower activity.
This as an Atlantic high-pressure system continues to generate winds of 20 to 30 knots (37 to 56 km/h) across the island with higher gusts during the shower activity.
It notes these conditions are expected to peak again tonight as a shear line affects Barbados.
The public should expect the tumbling and rolling of unsecured objects (e.g. inflatable structures, tents and garbage cans) and is encouraged to monitor official sources for further information.
This advisory will be terminated at 6:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2025.
