A profound honour to step into this role.
That’s how new president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, Damien Skeete, responded to his elevation at the end of the recently held 51st Annual General Meeting.
The new president, an assurance partner at Skeete Best & Company, has over fifteen years’ experience across business sectors such as hospitality, international business, public services, manufacturing and non-profit organisations.
An active member on ICAB’s Future Tec Committee, he was first appointed to the ICAB Council in 2019.
A fellow of the ACCA, he has also served as that body’s International Assembly representative for Barbados from 2018 to 2024.
