The National Insurance Scheme is now on a more predictable path.
Word of this from Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs and Investment, Ryan Straughn, as he addressed the Caribbean Association of Pension Supervisors (CAPS) Conference and Annual General Meeting at the Hilton Barbados Resort today.
The Minister said a mechanism has also been put in place two years ago, which should bring yields in the coming years for pensions as well as the National Insurance Scheme. It could also be of assistance to the region as we go forward.
Trevor Thorpe was at the opening day of the conference, which brings together regional and international stakeholders, and filed this report.
