The judicial system is being applauded for the work it has been doing to address the praedial larceny situation plaguing the agricultural sector.
Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Agricultural Society, James Paul, says the law courts have been utilising the Praedial Larceny Law, which was proclaimed in March 2023.
He was speaking during a press conference to announce plans for the BAS Annual General Assembly, which will be held this Saturday at the Radisson Aquatica.
Mr Paul says a number of outstanding issues will be discussed at the General Assembly, including the need for Government to establish a laboratory for livestock farmers.
