Barbados’ newest High Court judge has pledged to continue to serve the country to the best of her ability.
Justice Donna Babb-Agard, though no stranger to the High Court, was installed as a permanent judge having previously served as an acting judge.
She took the oaths of office in a short ceremony before President of Barbados the Most Honourable Dame Sandra Mason at State House.
Justice Babb-Agard joined the Director of Public Prosecutions Office in 1992, after a year of defence law in private practice.
She went on to be a magistrate before being appointed as the first female to hold the posts of Deputy DPP and DPP.
