The Winston Scott Polyclinic has been gifted an instrument for inspecting the retina and other parts of the eye.
The Lions Club of St. Michael, in keeping with its international mandate of vision care, donated an ophthalmoscope to the polyclinic’s School Eye Care Clinic.
Medical Officer of Health at the Winston Scott Polyclinic, Dr. Barry Ward, says the instrument will be put to good use.
The Lions Club’s immediate past president, Deidre Wood, says the ophthalmoscope was purchased at a cost of five thousand dollars, using funds raised through the club’s annual raffle last year.
