As many nurses were expected to be away from work on Monday due to meetings with their unions, the Ministry of Health and Wellness had warned the public to expect some disruptions and delays with service at polyclinics across the island.
A check with the Branford Taitt Polyclinic this afternoon revealed that the health care facility was having challenges due to the absence of some nurses. However, the Randall Phillips and Winston Scott polyclinics reported no issues.
At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, contingency plans kept Hospital wards fully staffed, according to communications specialist Shane Sealy. He notes that patients continued receiving uninterrupted care.
