Barbados has recorded another road fatality after a man lost his life in what appears to be a hit-and-run collision on Saturday, August 9.
The Barbados Police Service reports that the “District B Station received a report of a body lying motionless along Watts Village Road, St. George” around 11:30 p.m.
“A patrol responded to the area and saw the body of a male lying on the roadway. The Ambulance Service was contacted and personnel examined the body and found no signs of life. A medical doctor came to the scene and pronounced death. Initial investigations have shown that the deceased was struck by a vehicle that did not stop.”
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or have any information that may assist to contact the District B Police Station at 437-4311, Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1800-8477 or Police Emergency at 211.
They are also appealing to the driver of the vehicle, who was involved in this collision, to present themselves to the District B Police Station or any other police station.
