Police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred around 3:45 a.m. today, Thursday, April 2, 2026, in the area of Long Gap, St Michael.
According to initial reports, two men were walking along the road when they were approached by a group of individuals dressed in dark clothing, wearing masks and brandishing a firearm. The suspects reportedly demanded valuables from the men and discharged a firearm, injuring one of them. The injured man was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private motor vehicle.
Investigations are ongoing.
