An elderly man suffered 90 per cent burns after a fire ripped through his residence on Saturday.
78-year-old Samuel Alleyne was rescued by residents in the area and later transported by ambulance for urgent medical attention.
That blaze occurred around 8:30 pm, at a two-story wall-constructed building located at Boarded Hall, Christ Church.
Barbados Fire Service personnel responded and extinguished the fire.
Investigations are ongoing.
