The Barbados Police Service is investigating a shooting death which occurred at Quakers Road, Carrington Village, St. Michael on Monday night.
They note in a press release that the “Police Operations Control Room received a report about 10:46 p.m. on Monday 31st March 2025, of a man being shot and lying motionless along Quakers Road, Carrington Village, St. Michael.”
It further states that the man, who is yet to be publicly identified, was sitting outside a shop when the incident occurred:
“Initial investigations have revealed that the deceased was sitting outside a shop in the area, when he was approached by an assailant, an argument ensued between the two of them and a series of gun shots were heard.
“The deceased fell to the ground after receiving gunshot injuries to his head, chest and arm and the assailant walked away. The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor.
“Investigations are continuing into the matter.
