A man has been left nursing injuries after a robbery at Parish Land, Christ Church, on Saturday.
The Barbados Police Service said in a press release that they received the report around 9:35 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Their investigations revealed that a male was sitting outside under a street light when he was approached by a man who was wearing a mask and armed with a firearm. The assailant demanded that he hand over the jewellery which he was wearing and shot him before taking the jewellery.”
The full statement on the shooting follows:
“About 9:35 p.m. on Saturday 19th April 2025, the police received a report of a shooting at Parish Land Christ Church.
“Investigations revealed that a male was sitting outside under a street light when he was approached by a man who was wearing a mask and armed with a firearm. The assailant demanded that he hand over the jewelry which he was wearing and shot him before taking the jewelry. The victim was taken for urgent medical attention in a private motorcar. Investigations are continuing into the matter.
