Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has been sharing her opinion on how the Caribbean Festival of Arts (CARIFESTA XV) has been going thus far.
She says the teething problems that came with the event, given its magnitude, were expected.
However, she says, all hands were on deck to manage the problems and give the public and the thousands visiting the island the ability to see the best varieties of the Caribbean, through more than three hundred events.
Ms mottley was speaking at the Jazz and World Beat Super Concert at the Richard Stoute Amphitheatre, National Botanical Gardens.
The Prime Minister says, based on direct reviews she has been getting on the ground, Barbadians and visitors appear to be happy with Barbados’ third staging of CARIFESTA.
And according to Prime Minister Mottley, investing in infrastructure for CARIFESTA has allowed the island to continue to diversify its tourism offerings.
