Emergency personnel were pressed into action this morning in response to a mass casualty accident in Foursquare, St Philip.
Our cameraman, Christopher Wood, was on location shortly after the collision, which involved a minibus and a utility truck just outside the Foursquare Rum Distillery. 20 people were injured, including the truck driver and those on board the minibus.
Personnel from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Barbados Ambulance Service, the Barbados Police Service, the Barbados Defence Force and the Barbados Fire Service responded.
Dr. David Byer, who is the medical consultant for the Barbados Ambulance Service, provided details on the injured.
