A house fire was quickly brought under control in Barbarees Gardens, St. Michael this week thanks to the efforts of men from the community.
Mark Broomes was among those who sprung into action to assist.
He says he entered the house in a bid to out the fire.
Another resident, Aneelie Jones says he climbed on a shed after securing a hose to tackle the fire.
The blaze was already extinguished by the time fire officers responded.
The men’s heroic act was saluted.
