In response to the plight of fisherfolk and residents, an official from the Ministry of Environment says they could begin getting relief from Sargassum seaweed as soon as tomorrow.
The good news comes from Senior Economist in the Ministry of Environment and National Beautification, Green and Blue Economy, and the officer responsible for oversight of the National Sargassum Clean-Up Programme, Tanbaje Sealy.
Mr. Sealy adds that areas such as Consett Bay and Skeetes Bay are among those where workers are regularly removing seaweed.
