Leader of one of the island’s largest trade unions, Toni Moore, is defending Government’s decision to increase the minimum wage by two dollars per hour.
The General Secretary of the Barbados Workers’ Union says while the Democratic Labour Party is critical about government’s decision to move the minimum wage from $8.50 to $10.50, it is in the best interest of workers.
Moore endorsed the move while addressing a Barbados Labour Party spot meeting at Weston, St. James.
