More bands took to the road this year for Grand Kadooment, and familiar names made a return.
Bryan Worrell, president of the Barbados Association of Masqueraders, says there were 18 bands this year compared to 14 last year.
However, while some bands had fewer members, others saw an increase.
Worrell has praised the partnership with the Barbados Police Service this year, noting that each band had its own assigned officer.
This, he says, ensured a safer, smoother day on the road.
