Minister in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, Ryan Straughn is not happy with the length of time it has taken the Ministry of Transport and Works to carry out road repairs in his constituency of Christ Church East Central.
He says a number of issues have been raised for some time.
The area he says includes Lodge Road and Water Street Road – a major artery.
Minister Straughn says deaths have been recorded in the area.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Santia Bradshaw in response says CAF funds are from a budgeted sum, drawn down by Government each financial year to execute works for roads requiring full reconstruction.
She notes that Lodge Road to be placed under the particular head suggests that the area would have required full design to address issues including sidewalks and drainage.
