The notion that the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) is politicising the issue of crime on the island was dispelled by former Minister of Tourism and Member of Parliament for St. Michael South Central, Richard Sealy.
This as he addressed those gathered at a DLP meeting in Ashton Hall, St. Peter, in support of that party’s candidate for the upcoming St. James North by-election, Felicia Dujon.
Mr Sealy said the situation of mitigating the existing rise in crime in Barbados needs to be the number one priority of the ruling Barbados Labour Party Government and says the prevention of crime must have a multifaceted approach.
